After over 10 years of foraging and keeping information in my head, on pinned notes in my maps App on my phone and spread over many diaries - I decided to create a foraging journal. Then I thought, why not share it!

Foraging has gained a lot of popularity over the last few years and I feel like it’s important that people take this practice and knowledge keeping seriously. To ensure safety of themselves and others. In saying all of that, if you take the slow and cautious approach, foraging food and medicinal herbs is as old as humanity and is an empowering and valuable way to access plants for medicine.

Journals

The Herbal Foraging Journal is designed for both beginners and experienced foragers. Blending practical knowledge with space for creating personal records, helping you build a deeper connection with the medicinal plants growing locally.

Inside, you’ll find profiles of 13 common medicinal herbs found growing wild in many parts of the world. Photos to assist with identification, traditional uses, and unique properties. Whether you’re wandering through bushland, fields, or your own backyard, this guide supports you in recognising and respectfully harvesting nature’s remedies. Complementing the herbal profiles are 36 journal template pages, created to document your foraging experiences. Record where you found each plant, seasonal observations & preparation methods. Over time, this becomes your own living record that you can pass on to future generations.

Perfect for herbal enthusiasts, wild crafters and anyone curious about plant medicine, this journal invites you to slow down, observe closely, and cultivate your own relationship with the healing power of plants in your local area.

Plant profiles included: - Chickweed - Cleavers - Dandelion - Goldenrod - Gotu Cola - Japanese Honeysuckle - Kelp - Motherwort - Mullein - Nettle - Plantain - St John's Wort - Usnea

Becoming the Village Cookbook

This is a slow burn project that started in 2018-19 after the birth of my 2nd daughter when I started diving head first into postpartum care traditions and practice for new Mothers. Initially, I was exploring my predominant Irish and Scottish ancestral practices, alongside my daughters Filipina and Austrian lineage.

From there, I started chatting to friends about their own lineages and before long I had collated a collection of recipes, herbal medicine, care and spiritual practices for the window of time just after birth.

For various reasons, book writing was put on hold but will be picked up again later this year. I’m excited to share this dense collection of knowledge, including a deep dive of many years worth of research into Irish, Scottish and English postpartum “Lying In” Mothercare cultural practices.
